So when was the last I updated the page?? Hmm… At least a month ago when my head were buried under the piles of books and declared myself a Nerd..  So, I’ve managed to finish all my exams, travelled a bit, got sick along the way, managed the on going never ending strings of assignments, relax , be myself and have fun the past few weeks. Everyone was commenting on my FB that I don’t look like I’m here to study, more to having the time of my life traveling.. Well the fun part is always captured in the photos and the not so fun part is kept aside.. (e.g. burning midnight oil for assignment submission, working in a group with people that does work half way, reading articles over articles of stock evaluations etc etc)

Since I have so many things that happened over the past few weeks, i would just summarize everything.. (photo updates please go check FB.. felt its double work to be posting lotsa photos that people have seen already)

Hmm.. Lets start with exams’ week. Completed three papers in the spread of three working days excluding the weekends… Hopefully results would be ok. haha.. Didn’t want to waste the already short term break, I flew to Norway the night after my last paper. Was my first time to Norway and also the first time I did not do any research about the city that I was visiting. Thought Mr. Tall would be there to be the tour guide (which he did) and all the studying for exam paper just left no extra space in the mind for holiday notes.. haha

Off I went to this foreign land where I knew 1 person out of the whole population.. Reaching bout 10-ish 11pm didn’t worry me because I was told the Express to the city only takes 20 minutes and last train leaves past midnight. Happily I went on the train ride looking forward to see Mr. Tall in the train station as arranged earlier but but but the nature of the industry we are in just likes surprises. Work took longer than expected and I was waiting in the station like some clueless lost kid with no sense of directions and bearing… It was cold and dark outside, the station has so many exits. I was instructed to wait at where i got down from the train and he will FIND me… sounds like its a big place that I might get lost. So I sat and read the novel i brought along till he sneak out from work to get me (Which was like three minutes walking distance) I could have managed to get there myself if i were slightly more into getting to know the basic directions haha… For once I was a lil scared waiting alone… Learned my lesson.. hehe…

The following days spend in the humble city of Oslo was superb. The city gives a warm impression and I would say its a nice city to live in. Its a city but practiced quality lifestyle (through my observation that is) Did my sight seeing, and met new friends that further extend their Norwegian hospitality to the small Asian girl. Overall, it was a good trip on my mid sem break. Two albums of filtered photos already in uploaded in FB , so go check there and i will only put up a few that I like here—>

And of course one with the friendly host..

The short one week was a good getaway from my daily stress from school.. Enjoyed it very much..–> Thanks to my awesome host, Mr. Tall.

So that was the first trip out of Switzerland. I came back for a week of classes and off again to the Queen’s Land, where I have expected to be drinking English tea everyday but my oh my how wrong I was.. I was fed with Chinese , Korean , Japanese, Malaysian cuisines throughout my stay.. And I felt like I was back in Petaling Street when I was in China Town.

The main purpose of the visit was to meet up my ex classmates who were there for many years now (damn that sounds old).. Managed to get  a good flight price but the timing was rather short though.. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself so much and am very happy seeing the faces that I’ve not seen in years after college days… Not so much of sight seeing and my biggest regret was not able to manage the time and visit Madame Tussauds..  Again, photos were uploaded in FB—> *click* so here are the few highlighted ones—>

Hello Peeps!!

Its a monthly thing here. Random updates monthly haha.

Over the past 4 weeks, major assignments were due, finalizing a few subjects, relaxing, partying and getting myself confused I don’t know how, seriously.

So many things happened over the past one month. I don’t even know where to start or how to start. Classes as usual Mondays to Fridays with assignments here and there. And my classmates sometimes amazed me with their capabilities. I truly understand the diversity now and working my way around it or maybe through it. Its frustrating at times but thats one of the reason I’m here. To take up the challenge and strengthen my mental capabilities. Its piling up, building the intensity of stresssss.. (oh god help!!!)

Apart from all the workload I have to manage, I also entertained a few guest that stop by Lucern. First was Mr. Gjerde that I’ve met during the China Olympics ‘08. Was on his way to Poland and stopped by Lucern.

Had almost a week of wonderful days with him. Strolling by the lake, walking aimlessly around was some of the things that took my mind off school work. Only managed to be tour guide for a day around Lucern town on Saturday. (Friday was our first Student Bar and dragged Haakon along and luckily he went caused I passed out after certain mixture of I Don’t Know What. ) Went to Blue Balls Fest, spend a nice Sunday by the lake and had good Nasi Lemak dinner prepared by Chef Sira. The weekdays passed by so quickly as I went to school and my guest went sight seeing on his own haha.. Spend most of the evenings cooking at home as I always had some readings. Managed to go out the night before his departure to meet Micheal and Roman. Time spent wisely overall. Departure is always my weakness, so I ended up with a quiet weekend. Some photos during Haakon’s visit–>

One of the outing days. He is so tall I find it hard to get a picture without him bending down and me tipping on my toes.. Si Panjang!!!

So thats my first guest in Lucern and thats not the end of my guest list. haha. Just few days ago, My piglets from Frankfurt came to visit before continuing on their Euro Trip. I remembered when we had a reunion dinner just before they left  end of January and now its time for them to go home. How time flies. Had a few days full of laughter I never had in almost 4 months now. Same thing, had a few nights a home for home cooked food plus its cost effective haha…

Here are some photos of them, –>

On the morning they had to leave.. Sob Sob

Ok thats all for now.. Sleepy and thinks the post is running too long.. hahah excuses..

Ok Bai!!

I shouldn’t now start my post with any promises. I shall update as i want and hopefully its enough to keep it alive.

Only last week i celebrated my quarter century bench mark. Feels age is like a skipping number going uphill, never go backwards and each stage it goes up there should be more that we have experienced. (sounds so pro kan?) This year like any other year, its the day of the year that i really looked forward for. I guess its the tradition/ practice  at home that build up the anticipation for small happenings like this. My family celebrates all the small little annual events, birthdays, anniversaries, CNY, etc etc. What my mom said was, ‘all these things are motivation to make us move forward and in the mean time build memories’

This year, I had one of the best birthday ever. All in all i had 7, SEVEN birthday cakes. Felt happy definitely, not because of the cakes i had but knowing the people around me actually would spend time planning. The effort that they put in to make MY day different was really sweet. I’m really blessed to have these people around me.

To top of the already great day, my buddies, soulmates, girlfriends, sisters or whatever u can describe very near to heart people, flew to town for a short visit. We had so much fun hanging out and catching up. Feels like i’m YOUNG again.. (Damn that sounded OLD and corny..)

This is supposed to be a THANK YOU post.. haha.. so no photos for the time being. Don’s ask me why but I’m trying my best to come up with some soon.

Ok BAIII>>> for now!!!

A couple of nites ago, there was a MINI reunion with few of my ex college mates which also happens to be the ‘finalist of Mr. & Miss KDU’ *woot*

Cryst of course was faster in updating and i will just link it here —> *Click* and i’m also gonna curi her photos cos i was camera-less that nite. It might take centuries till i get hold of the photos from Justin and Yunny.

p1100721.JPG

Two group shots from Cryst. (for more crazy pics visit cryst’s site please, i shall not steal so many)

These two adventurous people is having a blast really. Traveling half way round the globe to chase dreams that seems impossible for others. A spirit i admired so much. Its been a long long time since the last time i saw them what more sit down nicely and have a long chat. It was a night full of gossips (as usual) and updates of life from each other.

It was really shocking how we can still be as crazy as how we used to be when we were in college years. We conquered the whole section and had the waiters and waitresses turn of some lights and started cleaning the floor before we finally stood up and chao. (they must be cursing whole nite with the amount of noise jus the four of us could generate)
We (missing Fong) were the proud few to be representatives of the faculty for the annual *leng chai leng lui* contest (MDG outbeat us la now) Its not easy to have so many to come from the same school and even harder to get so many from the same class *ahem lots of potential people from my class kan?* We had our happy times, our shopping times and also our teary times together and thats how we bonded.

Lets recall, Justin was and still is the most adventurous one. Yunny being the soft spoken one. Cryst was always the creative one. And me the forever noisy one. It was like yesteryear we went thru all the hassle to get things ready as we were first years students and very semangat la konon. ( we were all conned into it and missed out first semester break, damn..) Meeting up with these people reminds me of my years in college (cheh sound so old) how much fun we can create out of thin air. Definitely missing every bit of it.

Never ever thought the little soft spoken Yunny would be in the body combat thingy but yes she is now a qualified instructor.. so yeng.. and on top of that she is leaving for OXFORD ok.. me one damn proud frien i tell you…

And Justin, leading a very colourful and adventurous life in London. His traveling routine is something i would always envy. The passion to travel and to try out everything i really admire. One hell of a down to earth guy.

All the best mates!!! Come back often ok.. really only minority left in KL..

ps: Ivan, if you are reading this, please dont take Cryst away from me k.. Please spare us another 5 or 10 years to go shopping in Bangsar alot of weekends before u kidnap her to Kuantan.. *wink wink*

Blogging used to be a routine so that people can know whats happening around me when I’m far away. It turns slow… slower… and almost dying.. All this delaying is because of lame excuses like busy, no time and not really in the mood.. but i guess, at some point i dont see a point of putting things up when you question the purpose and consequences ..But a big draw out would be the lame internet connection at home that just settled in. And all the excuses piled up a mountain high i dont even know what to blog about or where to start and which event out of so many i should be focusing on.

Well i’m trying my best to sit to blog at least once a week but even that is so much of a difficult task.. isk isk.. Nth i could say to be exact but here is the recap for the happenings last two months i guess. Lets hope i get a little diligent and would be disciplined and also motivated enough to be updating frequently.. Cryst, Est & Lek are my motivation caused they damn rajin updating all the time..

So i’m hoping to get back into the blogging mode again..need motivation, not complaints ok people. I shall start with a full of photos recap to lessen the mountain high back dated piles of events that took place. (I shall just forget about those small mini mini stuff)

Reading Est & Lek’s updates, they always have smth happening with their colleagues made me think of how happening my own work place is. Well not that bad that till we only come to work and off we go. Every month we have staff’s birthday celebration, a get together session and also a ponteng/curi tulang broad daylight.

So far i only brought my camera out once during the celebration days (and for my own month, i didnt snap.. )

Those orange plastic bags are bags filled with food we catered from one of Ms. Puteri’s contact. We cant afford to have buffet lunch as most of us have different schedule for classe, so best is to have food for all even when they have to rush back to classes after the cut cake session..

Selamat ‘Belated’ Birthdays!!!!

——————————————————————————————

Apart from colleagues that brighten up my days, the best part of my job is to get all the wonderful ‘daughters and sons’ along the way. Following is a day out with my ‘huang nu er(s)’

Jenny and Rachel.

img_5419.jpg

Its fun to hang out with them cos it makes me get grip of fun & crazy things that i’ve kinda stop doing except when i’m out with Cryst or Winnie.

img_5422.jpg

See…

——————————————————————————————

Apart from hanging out, the past months I did not forget to pamper myself.. From shopping to traveling.. thats not something I would forget though haha.. but there are different things that i’ve tried—> (please be advice the picture below might be highly addictive, viewers discretion is highly recommended)

img_5900.jpg

My SEXY legs.. (Kenko Fish Spa in Pavillion)

img_5901.jpg

Fat People’s Fat Leg with alot of ‘Garra Rufa’. See the difference, one alot of fishes and the other less.. We were told that the fishes will nibble away dead skin so the more fishes nibbling your feet means alot of dead skin larr..

My friends and I recently came across this topic about Pedicure and Fish Spa. Its really very subjective to conclude which is better than the other. I believe both contribute to a certain positivity. I think its fun and natural way without much stress to the skin. Here a link if you wana find out more about it —–> *click*

Winnie’s birthday simple lunch meet up.

img_5912.jpg

Simple isnt it? Our table was filled with FOOD!!

I sacrificed half day leave to make this gurl happy. We went to Kura, in One World Hotel for lunch. I rushed my daily tasks and joined Winnie and CCL for this scrumptious meal.

img_5914.jpg

Me and my ex-roomie..

Its a hearty meal but only three of us.. really miss the time when we used to celebrate with that group of friends who are now all in SINGAPORE (and now Winnie oso leaving.. *sob sob*)

img_5918.jpg

No cake for her but i bought her a ? bag as pressie. Nice?? Pretty similar to the one she chose for me on my birthday haha..

Thats the once awhile short lunch meet up that we can afford out of our Stressful & Busy schedule.. haha.. damn pathetic right???

As per mentioned earlier, my job created opportunity for me to meet great people but also every few months, it would be emotional time cos have to bid farewell to graduating students. Everytime you know them better, thats the time they would be waving bye bye and saying ‘ I’m stepping into another level in my life.’

This semester i went to my first Farewell dinner of the year, CULA 7. This class i could remember the sweet girl, Stella who always around the photocopy machine in the office. The very small class and friendly people. The time here and there we would bump into the others around college and exchange nods and smiles. And now they are all off into the industry..

img_5909.jpg

All the best people!!

KDU 25th Anniversary- In conjunction of the 25th anniversary celebration, this year our annual dinner was held in One World Hotel (mentioning OWH twice dy, like no other place to go rite??) and the theme of the night is VIVA SILVER. Well we are to dress up as silverish as possible but not many actually understood the colour. Silver is not a normal colour i would wear or have in my wardrobe. Searching for a decent enough dress was pretty difficult and much to my disappointment, many didnt even bother to follow the theme.. Where la the team effort?? @!#!~!@~

I was seated together with all the bosses of my department and being one of the naughty ones its not easy to pass the two hour event okay.. and all the time my camera was nicely seated in my ’silver’ clutch. No Pictures from Annual Dinner?? I dont know what to say to myself.

Only managed to snap 4 pics at the end of the night before we departed to Long Bar. Out of 4, 3 was taken with Don same place and time just different brightness and clarity. Duh…

img_5941.jpg

The best out of 3.. which is still not good… haih…

Don got a coffee machine from Lucky draw. Everyone of us got this photo album as door gifts. We were each given a box with an album inside with an individual photo but you wont get your own photo unless you are damn lucky. In order to get yours, everyone was asked to run around the ballroom doing ’system-barter’. Well a good ice breaker i would say..

Thats about all on the annual dinner.
