-Luzern-

Thinking of leaving soon makes me feel half hearted to leave this beautiful and peaceful town.. Remembering the first day i got here, ‘wow,i’m in switzerland now’ this kept playing in my head..It was the first time getting out of the country all alone in a mission to accomplish..(which is already done..) Everything were so new to me.. and different to me..

Our first visit to the famous Lion Monument..

None of us (those who came together last year) understand the language even though we spend about a year studyin German back in college…we were the minority but yet we were lucky to hav met people that taught us bit by bit..(i still cant understand everything but at least i can communicate in the basic…proud of that) Now everything seems so familiar to me and its time to bit farewell.. i’m surely gonna miss this place alot.. and not forgetin all the memories with the people here.. (tanja: ich wolle dich vermissen!!! bitte nicht mir fergessen..meine liebe schwester…)

Well, i’ll b off from the cyberworld soon.. mayb tmr mayb sat..hav to cancel my internet account before august..but i’ll try to update whenever i get to go online.. heading up to Berlin Sat nite..

Dinner @ FonduE HousE

As my life span in FH is coming to an end this weekend..its a norm for the boss to hand out a meal voucher worth for a meal for four and two bottles of wines.. So i got one of the voucher and decided to call Vi, Violet and Lucy to hav a feast be i leave..

Since i started working there, i’ve always hav an urge to try the beef steak that looked so yummy…i repeat..’LOOKED’….

I made a reservation under my name few days before..

IMG_1795.jpg

We met up @ Fondue House at 7pm last Sun as i was given one miserable  day off on a Sunday after a long nine days of work (all shops close la.. sien..) when we meet up.. chit chat abit and waited for what seems to be like ages before ’someone’ actually noticed our existance.. service sucks big time!!!! (please exclude me..) and this guy that i really HATE really gets on my nerves… i’m so glad i dont hav to see him anymore after this sat…PHEWWW…

Me n Lucy

We ordered a BunderTeller for starters..Its BunderFleish…I love this meat so much i’m thinking of buyin a big chunk home cos it costs a bomb in Malaysia to get ‘air dried meat’…The meat goes very well with Raclett cheese, pickles and bread.. thnking of it my tummy is having a live jazz performance…

IMG_1800.jpg

And we also had a salad bowl consist of cabbage, purple cabbage, lettuce and a lil of julienne carrot..

IMG_1803.jpg

The Yummiest food of the day… BREAD.. I’m a bread person so i guess i live with Bread instead of rice.. haha…

IMG_1804.jpg

Then we waited for a few centuries before our nex course arrived on the table..a big pot of CHEESE …its Fondue time again… i’m gonna miss smellin like a piece of cheese everyday after work…

IMG_1812.jpg

IMG_1810.jpg

Potato and bread in cubes and lotsa pepper…into the pot, out and slurrrppp jus yummy!!!

IMG_1813.jpg

IMG_1815.jpg

IMG_1817.jpg

Everyone enjoyin the pot of cheese…and what else can we do other than eating talking and sitting around waitin??? pictures!!!!

IMG_1819.jpg

IMG_1820.jpg

After a heavy round of cheese, this is what happened…

IMG_1824.jpg

Complainin the white wine not cold..

IMG_1825.jpg

Noone refill her glass of ice water..

IMG_1826.jpg

Its stiill the same pot of cheese infront of her… ‘wheres the next course???’

IMG_1831.jpg

Wondering if i should get in and say smth…but… jus in the midst of me standing up…

IMG_1841.jpg
someone came and lit the fire.. means the nex pot of oil is arriving..

IMG_1836.jpg

IMG_1839.jpg

And my plate of beef steak which tasted more like a cold cut from the fridge instead of a yummy piece of steak… *eewwww*

IMG_1848.jpg

IMG_1843.jpg

After hours of chewing, finally finished it.. n i hav no more space for the choco fondue.. n not much mood to click on the camera due to some ‘better not to mention scenario’..

IMG_1852.jpg

so 7pm to 10pm i was @ FH.. makes no difference even on my offday.. i’m still in that old sucky place.. i couldnt explain how this place seems to normal in the photos but so so so  horrible in real life….

GLAD ITS COMING TO AN END SOOONNN!!!

Cheese Fondue Anyone??

This is for my complicated son, Izzo..

For Cheese Fondue heres the recipe…(provided u can get good cheese in Malaysia without having to pay off with both ur kidneys and heart…)

ingredients

600g (I recommend baguette or any other kind of white bread with a lot of rind)

600g Swiss cheese (e.g. Freiburger, Appenzeller, or Greyezer) 3dl white wine

1tbsp cornstarch

1 peeled garlic clove

a bit pepper, paprika, nutmeg

Preparation

1. Cut the white bread into small cubes

2. Grind the cheese and put it into your Fondue Pan

3. Now mix the white wine with the cornstarch and pour to the grinded cheese. Cook it with low heat. It is important to stir regularly.

4. Put the peeled garlic clove into the Fondue Pan

5. Spice it with pepper, paprika, and nutmeg Cook the Fondue with a Fondue Burner at the table.

Now you can enjoy your Swiss Fondue. Use Fondue Forks to stir with the cubed white bread.

Tips

Long stocked cheese suits better for Swiss Fondue.

You can pour more white wine into the Fondue when eating. The Fondue will stay viscid longer.

The crust, which remains at the end of every Fondue is known as a delicacy among Fondue connoiseurs.

I recommend a glass of white wine to enjoy a perfect Swiss Fondue.

En Guete! (Enjoy your meal)

To keep the Cheese warm, u need one of this thing…
