After hours of compressing the photos (Microsoft Office Picture Manager is always not responding..) and the selecting process…here are the photos from ROME the city full of history..

1 (2).jpg

Begining of the journey… started off our day with a cup of coffee in the train..So little space to move about in the Couchettes…Budget Travellers…

1 (5).jpg

After checking in in the hotel, went sight seeing straight away cos we dont hav much time in Rome.. so our first stop is.. The Famous Spanish Steps..(one of the few places that are in ‘Triump In The Skies’..the flowers were blooming very nicely.. went up all the way to the top and walked down again.. so thats it for the Spanish Steps..

Fontana De Trevi

Next stop.. Fontana De Trevi.. (Lek ar, very near only la.. how come cant find??) it was so glaring (bright sunny day) the photos didnt turn out nicely… so we decided to come bk later at nite..

1 (29).jpg

Continue our venture and the nex place on our list is the ‘Monument a Vittorio Emanuele II ‘ Its situated jus beside the road on the way to Foro Romano..

1 (31).jpg

Then across the road from the monument its ‘Foro Triano’… Its amazing to know how this place looks like ages ago and how it is now..

Foro Romano

Further up the across the road again its ‘Foro Romano’ the very famous place where its flooded with tourist from everywhere.. after all the distruction, most of the buildings are left with blocks of stones that made up the buildings.. amazing how they builded this place in the ancient times..

With my travel mate, Esther in front of ‘Foro Romano’

The first Olympic Stadium, Colosseo(in Italiano)

1 (87).jpg

This is the place i liked the most apart from Fontana De Trevi.. i like the curves and the building itself..

1 (115).jpg

I never knew that there was an underground area in the Colosseo.. they had platforms and covered it with sand for the games..strong platforms they had right??

John Paul II's Tomb

Next we travelled by bus all the way to San Petrio to visit the famous place where the Pope stayed.. its was full of people as well and we got to know that there will be a concert later that evening so the Basilica will be closed at 6pm..(checked our watches..opps.. almost 5..n look at the Q…how r we gonna get in..??) but we managed our way thru n went to Pope John Pauls II’s Tomb..after the long wait this is the only pic we can get..its a tourist attraction now.. not so much of respect showed from the tourist.. its a sad thing…this is supposed to be a holy place eh..

On the way out got a snap of the guard (not allowed to take photo with them) eventually it is said that all this ppl working are Swiss…

1 (193).jpg

Later that nite, we went bk to Fontana De Trevi to get some nice pic.. Desperate to hav some nice pic of this famous place.. walk walk walk.. n finally..a better view of the fountain..

1 (215).jpg

And then walk walk walk all the way to Coloseo as i saw Lek’s night shot in Colosseo was really nice..(’i have to get the night shot’ i said to myself even b4 i reach Rome..) Here.. i’m a happy gurl now..

So thats it for a day in Rome.. there are many places that i couldnt get to.. should hav stayed longer so can visit more places.. but no $$ tak cukup.. and its also peak season no hotels.. (we actually plan to stay for two nights but cant arranged anything that suit our timing..)

More photos of Rome will be uploaded in the Gallery..

OMG i jus finished my two weeks annual leave.. and i’m gonna be working working working for the nex three months.. no more holidays.. (how can that be possible?? i’m gonna go insane..) but to think of it again.. 3 months??shuould be easy peasy…keeping my fingers crossed to hav a fast moving 3 months..

How was my holiday?? FANTASTIC… relaxing..traveling..partying…felt so good..Imagine in 2 weeks i only had a single day to stay at home to laze around, the rest was spent with friend ‘lepaking’ around and travelling..

I was in Italy last week.. left Luzern on Tues nite and came bk on sun.. The trip was really nice..only thing was we expected more.. Had a feeling we were bk in Malaysia only a dirtier version..(thats in Rome) and in Venice we felt like in Pulau Ketam…we were impressed with the outcome of all the photos we took.(will upload the photos soon..stil in the editing process..its not easy to choose when u have more than 600photos…)

Felt so lazy to go to work after the long break.. and worst of all going back to the stinky restaurant..oh i got transfered to another restaurant that belongs to the same company..a swiss restaurant..serving FONDUES..cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, swiss fondue and chinese fondue ..i usually finish work with the stinky cheese smell all over me.. esp my hair..

goshh its time to get ready for work now.. shall update again soon…

Started the day with a small cup of Latte Machiatto then started wondering around the place by myself..Adrian was at work but he gave me the 24hours tram pass..So with that pass, i took all the trams available from the first stations till the very last one.. There were only 4 different route all together…Three top reason why i did what i did was…

1. Kill time

2. See more of Freiburg..not only the city centre..

3. Not to waste the Day Pass

Journal Cafe, sat there for about an hour waiting for the morning drizzle to stop..enjoying the little cup of Machiatto..

IMG_0677.jpg

Thats how the trams in Freiburg looks like..Adrian said they look nicer compared to those that are available in Zurich..

IMG_0671.jpg

Pfarrgemeinde-Herz-Jesu.. this is the only name i can find in front of the cathedral..i’m not sure if its the name of the place or just some notice boards title..

IMG_0713.jpg

This is an old building right beside the hotel i’m staying in.. USed to be a famous hotel it seems.. but now it looks haunted and on the left of this building is actually a rehabilitation centre..Receptionist in the hotel warn us not to be there at night because there are alot of drug addicts and alot of robbery cases happened before..

IMG_0721.jpg

Street in Old Town …not much different from any other street but i find the ‘longkang’ very unique..runs thru the whole area..

IMG_0823.jpg

Water are flowing smoothly and best of all so clear and clean.. and parents allowed their kids to actually walk n play in the water…

IMG_0819.jpg

Some wil just bring their toy to town while mommy go shopping.. wonderful isnt it??

IMG_0729.jpg

Later the evening went out with Adrian and AT LAST someone to take photos for me..

IMG_0700.jpg

This place is actually quite famous for their wine… this is a wine yard we came across but too bad its not the season for grapes….

We had the famous food of Germany, Gebraten SchweinHaxe for dinner..running around  in the rain to look for the restaurant (thanks to adrian’s sense of direction.. hehe) Tasted like fried chicken and the best thing is ‘no pork smell’ ..hehe  i’m not a pork person so i never tried pork that are not homecooked.. this is my first time.. wow i’m proud of myself.. hahahha

IMG_0746.jpg

The next morning, we had breakfast..GOOD BREAKFAST i mean..then off again to town to get some things back as souvenirs and click some photos before we leave..

IMG_0777.jpg

Yummy breakfast…now i’m in the scramble eggs and ommelette craze…

IMG_0800.jpg

The Fresh Market..selling mostly flowers and vegetables fresh from the farms..

IMG_0829.jpg

This is the only photo we took together before stepping out of Freiburg.. hehe.. its always ‘i snap for u.. then u snap for me k’ ..
